Take Care & Be Gone: Art Opening Reception Aug. 9

“Take Care & Be Gone”, a group show featuring the work of artists working in various media , explores connection between the self and work produced. Artists have been invited to show work they feel connected to. Through this display, the many connections are hoped to transfer throughout the community. This exhibition mingles artists who have have and have not shown their work and aims to foster an inclusive community.

The exhibition has been organized by first time curators Brycen Beam, Kayla Smith and Natasha Mikulich, who will be showing their work as well.

“Trying to break into an art scene for the first time inevitably brings discomfort, which comes with starting things that are new,” Brycen elaborates on their feelings about curation, “being able to share my first curated art show with everyone involved makes the process feel less about work and more about connection and community that follows.”

The show opens on Thursday, August 9 from 6:30-8:30pm. Open gallery hours will be held on Saturdays in August, 4:30-8pm. Facebook event here.
