Ever wonder what bats say in the night? Join summer bat walks at the Bernadette Morales Nature Preserve to find out!
Walks will go from 8-10pm on Friday August 21, Thursday August 27, and Friday, August 28.
Iris Lautermilch will guide an easy 2-mile jaunt, using a specialized eavesdropping device to display ultrasonic bat calls and share information about our leathery neighbors. Lautermilch has led walks in the Mojave Desert and the Big Apple, and assisted with the kind of firsthand research that requires a rabies vaccine.
Walks are family-friendly. Meet in the parking lot.
