SLOW PORTRAITS – THE PEOPLE WE PASS EVERY DAY

As part of Flemington DIY’s Community Photo Capture, we hope you will join us during the Sip N Stroll for a free adventure into slow portraits. Working with analog processes, this project offers a counterpoint to the speed of everyday image-making, inviting participants into a slower, more intentional photographic experience.
Join us! You are invited to take part in a Slow Portrait, a carefully composed photograph made using a 4×5 large format camera.
Each participant will:
• Sit for a guided portrait created through a deliberate, visible process
• Receive a Polaroid portrait as an immediate takeaway
• Become part of a growing visual archive created over the course of the evening
Alongside the portrait sessions, Polaroids will be displayed in a structured, evolving installation, forming a live pop-up exhibition that reflects the people present that night.
