We believe that birding is for everyone! Beginner birders are welcome. Binocular tutorials available! Field guides available for reference.
Cost: Sliding scale suggested donation of $5-20 upon registration. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Registration required.

Where: Hoffman Park in Hampton NJ (Main entrance is 26 Baptist Church Road, Hampton 08827)
When: Sunday, March 29th, 2026 from 8am to 10am.
Who: This outing is hosted by Myllicent Felder from Sidney Ridge Nature Playschool, through Flemington DIY, a volunteer-run arts space in Flemington, NJ.
At 8am, we will meet at the parking lot close to the main entrance, and travel together as a group. There is no parking fee. There is a mix of paved and gravel paths, and a decline/incline. (From the brochure, “From the parking area, Hairpin Lane winds down a steep hill towards Manny’s Pond. Once down the hill from Hairpin Lane, Hoffman Park’s trails meander through woods and past ponds. Most of these trails are old gravel or paved roads that are flat and easy”) There are no restrooms available at this location.Please bring your binoculars if you have!Running late? No problem. Assiscong Marsh has a small parking lot, but you can park along the side of the road if necessary. There is no walk to our birding spot. We will be birding alongside a flat, paved, small, quiet road, in one place. There are no restrooms available at this location.Please bring your binoculars if you have!Running late? No problem. There is street parking and a parking lot for you to use. The park is directly to the right of the bridge. There is a rocky slope before reaching the grass where we will be birding. Public benches are available, but please bring a chair if you have one. There are no restrooms available at this location, but there are coffee shops nearby that likely have restrooms.
