Always wanted to draw people, but didn’t know where to start? Join artist and educator Vincent D’Amico for a relaxed, supportive 3-hour intensive. We will work with a live, clothed model (activewear/bathing suit) to deconstruct the human body into simple shapes and fluid lines.
Whether you’re looking to master anatomical proportions or just want to capture the energy of a pose through fast-paced gesture sketches, this workshop is for you. No judgment, no “nude studio” nerves—just great music, expert guidance, and the joy of capturing life on paper.
What we will cover
- The 30-Second Gesture: Capturing movement and “The Line of Action.”
- The “Proportion Map” – Simple tricks to get the head-to-body ratio right.
- Sustained Study: Focusing on light, shadow, and form in longer poses.
All levels are welcome! From total beginners to seasoned sketchers looking to sharpen their eye.
