DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first annual Juneteenth celebration in Hunterdon County on Sunday\, June 16 from 11 to 3 PM! \nThis family-friendly event will take place at Dvoor Farms / Hunterdon Land Trust (try either in your GPS)\, located at 111 Mine St in Flemington\, and will feature food vendors and live entertainment! This is a FREE event. \nThis event is hosted by Roots\, Blooms\, and Yards\, with support from the NAACP of Hunterdon County\, Flemington DIY\, the Hunterdon Count Anti-Racism Coalition\, and the Princeton Balm Company + Jersey Shore Cosmetics.Juneteenth\, celebrated on June 19th\, symbolizes freedom and equality\, marking the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States were emancipated. It is a day of reflection\, education\, and celebration of African American culture and heritage.  \nOur event aims to honor this significant day through a series of activities\, including cultural performances\, community outreach\, and a celebration that brings our community together in solidarity and joy.
