We believe that birding is for everyone! Beginner birders are welcome. Binocular tutorials available! Field guides available for reference.  \nCost: Sliding scale $5-20 upon registration. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.Registration required: (Enter link here) \nAround noon\, we will meet at the parking lot across from the Spruce Run Beach Area\, and travel together as a group across to the beach area. There is no parking fee during the off-season\, so you can drive right past the welcome booth. The parking lot\, sidewalks\, and paths are paved with either asphalt or concrete. We do not plan to go on the sand.  \nPlease bring your binoculars and a chair or blanket. There are also public benches available.  \nRunning late? No problem. If you walk from the parking lot towards the water\, you should see us! Need to leave early? No worries. Head out whenever you need to! SUMMARY:Open Jazz Jams
DESCRIPTION:Open Jazz Jams are held he first Sunday of every month. \nThe sessions will provide an opportunity for musicians to play with an experienced band. From 1-2 PM the hosting musicians for the week will play. Other musicians will be invited to sit in and play between 2-5 PM (typically a minimum of 2 songs each\, circumstances permitting). With the exception of drum kit and piano\, all musicians should bring their own equipment (instruments\, amps\, drum sticks\, microphones\, etc.). The sessions will focus primarily on jazz standards and other jazz tunes contained in Hal Leonard Real Books volumes 1 through 3. Newcomers will be coached through the process.  \nA $3 to $5 donation to Flemington DIY will be required from each musician that plays at the session. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Hunterdon County pop/rock/folk stars!  Are you looking for a place to practice your acoustic guitar skills\, and maybe do some singing too?   \nOur merry band of music makers is open to players of all abilities! This gathering however is for Acoustic players ONLY; i.e guitars\, ukuleles\, mandolins & banjos. A drummer and/or an acoustic/electric bassist would be welcomed though to help us all stay in time. \nChords and lyrics to the songs will be projected on a screen so there’s no need for you to bring a music stand or tablet.
