DESCRIPTION:Did you know that Flemington has seven Little Food Pantries (LFPs)? LFPs are small food pantries that allow community members in need to have open access to food\, water\, and hygiene items. These pantries depend on the support of donations from people like you! Come together with your community for a monthly food drive to stock four of the pantries. How does it work?Volunteers come together at the drive to sort donations that are dropped off from 6-7:15PM. Donations are counted and then sorted into bins for distribution to the pantries. Volunteers take each bin to the pantries to restock them. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening at the Acme Screening Room in Lambertville\, NJ! \nFirst a screening of the documentary “TCB: The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing”. The film is a biography of the influential writer\, filmmaker and cultural worker\, who with humor and deep insight\, inspired a generation of artists to dedicate themselves to community empowerment. The film is structured as a series of lessons on cultural organizing\, gleaned from Bambara’s life and shared by her friends\, colleagues and students. \nFilm producer/director Louis Massiah commissioned accomplished Jazz drummer\, Jerome Jennings to score the soundtrack. His music complements the visuals\, transporting the audience back to the time and places in which Cade Bambara lived. DESCRIPTION:Third Wednesdays | 7–9PM | Flemington DIY \nA monthly gathering of local residents committed to protecting and supporting our immigrant community members. \nTogether\, we will: \n\n\nShare accurate\, up-to-date Know Your Rights information related to ICE presence and immigration enforcement \n\n\nReview protocols for spotting\, documenting\, and responding to ICE activity \n\n\nCoordinate community-based mutual aid efforts \n\n\nCreate and distribute educational materials for neighbors and local businesses \n\n\nStrengthen communication networks that prioritize safety\, dignity\, and collective care \n\n\nThis is a space for informed conversation\, practical preparedness\, coordinated action\, sharing resources\, and strengthening local support networks.
