SUMMARY:Open Jazz Jams
DESCRIPTION:Open Jazz Jams are held he first Sunday of every month. \nThe sessions will provide an opportunity for musicians to play with an experienced band. From 1-2 PM the hosting musicians for the week will play. Other musicians will be invited to sit in and play between 2-5 PM (typically a minimum of 2 songs each\, circumstances permitting). With the exception of drum kit and piano\, all musicians should bring their own equipment (instruments\, amps\, drum sticks\, microphones\, etc.). The sessions will focus primarily on jazz standards and other jazz tunes contained in Hal Leonard Real Books volumes 1 through 3. Newcomers will be coached through the process.  \nA $3 to $5 donation to Flemington DIY will be required from each musician that plays at the session. Visitors that just want to listen to the music are also welcome to attend for all or any part of the 1-5 PM sessions free of charge.  \nFor questions about the sessions\, or to be added to the monthly text notification list for last minute cancellations or reschedules\, please email njjazzjam@gmail.com

The boat\, a vessel and symbol of traverse\, actually and spiritually. Depicted in epic lore\, our dreams\, used in journeys of discovery\, spiritual rituals\, trade\, warfare and peace\, sportive competition and leisure and warm water puddles after a summer afternoon shower. \nZeitseelen is an inclusive installation of mixed-media miniature sculptures that invitespeople of all ages to create their own boat and join the journey.
