DESCRIPTION:Open Jazz Jams are held he first Sunday of every month. \nThe sessions will provide an opportunity for musicians to play with an experienced band. From 1-2 PM the hosting musicians for the week will play. Other musicians will be invited to sit in and play between 2-5 PM (typically a minimum of 2 songs each\, circumstances permitting). With the exception of drum kit and piano\, all musicians should bring their own equipment (instruments\, amps\, drum sticks\, microphones\, etc.). The sessions will focus primarily on jazz standards and other jazz tunes contained in Hal Leonard Real Books volumes 1 through 3. Newcomers will be coached through the process.  \nA $3 to $5 donation to Flemington DIY will be required from each musician that plays at the session. DESCRIPTION:  Mixed media miniature sculpture with Simon Keller\, 3pm – 6pm \n                       10 participants max.\, material is provided\, no prior experience needed \n                       Fee: $20.00 per person. \nwww.flemingtondiy.org/lessismore \n\n\nSail deep time\, join the journey! The boat\, a vessel and symbol of traverse\, actually and spiritually. Depicted in epic lore\, our dreams\, used in journeys of discovery\, spiritual rituals\, trade\, warfare and peace\, sportive competition and leisure and warm water puddles after a summer afternoon shower. \nZeitseelen is an inclusive installation of mixed-media miniature sculptures that invitespeople of all ages to create their own boat and join the journey. Our workshop onMarch 9th will give you the opportunity to get involved. \nIn its 10th year zeitseelen has grown to over 50 vessels\, continuously growing. Thiscollab art work was showcased in Germany (2013)\, Japan (2023)\, the US (2017\, 2022) and now here\, Flemington DIY! \nA workshop with Simon Keller for adults and children\, no prior experience needed..We will explore by using only 3 basic materials and simple\, effective techniques tocreate our own\, unique mixed media miniature sculpture. Materials and tools areprovided. \nAdult and Children\, no prior experience needed\, 10 participants max\,.
