DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Black Friday community bird sit! Bring your binoculars\, meet new friends\, and disengage from capitalism\, while watching weird ducks!  \nWhere: Spruce Run Recreation Area\, in Hunterdon County\, New Jersey.  \nWhen: Friday\, November 28th\, 2025. 12pm-2pm.  \nWho: This outing is hosted by Myllicent Felder through Flemington DIY\, a volunteer-run arts space.  We believe that birding is for everyone! Beginner birders are welcome. Binocular tutorials available! Field guides available for reference.  \nCost: Sliding scale $5-20 upon registration. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.Registration required: (Enter link here) \nAround noon\, we will meet at the parking lot across from the Spruce Run Beach Area\, and travel together as a group across to the beach area. There is no parking fee during the off-season\, so you can drive right past the welcome booth. The parking lot\, sidewalks\, and paths are paved with either asphalt or concrete. We do not plan to go on the sand.  \nPlease bring your binoculars and a chair or blanket. There are also public benches available.  \nRunning late? No problem. If you walk from the parking lot towards the water\, you should see us! Need to leave early? No worries. Head out whenever you need to! We’re just glad you came. \nIf the weather is forecasted to be dangerous\, Myllicent will reach out via email by 10am to confirm or cancel the outing.
