DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a special evening as we welcome attorney\, former FBI special agent and author Katherine Schweidt to talk about her book:  How to Talk About Guns with Anyone.  This event is for both gun owners and non gun owners to educate and inform in a practical\, non threatening way without the politics!   Kate brings deep knowledge of America’s unique gun culture and its link to violence. A member of the gun violence prevention team formed after Sandy Hook\, she gathered best practices from experts across sectors. Her book covers key issues—background checks\, AR-style weapons\, ghost guns\, video games\, Supreme Court rulings\, and the impact of guns on domestic violence and mental health. Her goal is to foster fact-based\, solution-focused conversations on one of today’s most divisive issues. The book offers dozens of potential solutions and challenges readers to consider: What is your role in reducing gun violence?   The evening will include listening\, discussion and Q & A with the author.
